The artist

Jonetta Williams has had a life-long interest in animals and nature and became dedicated to art at an early age. Her love of wildlife is exemplified by the fact that when she visits a foreign country the first place she visits is the local zoo. She has attended the Pittsburgh Art Institute, Ray Vogue in Chicago, and has a Diploma from the Du Cret School of Art and Design in New Jersey. Jonetta has had extensive training in life drawing, fashion illustration and commercial art and has worked in oils, watercolor, pastel and acrylics. She has been painting since childhood and has been commissioned to do wall murals, "people" portraits, pet portraits and animal scenes for over 40 years. Jonetta is particularly known for her pet portraits and many of her customers have commissioned her to do additional portraits for themselves as well as friends and relatives. She has had several private shows and her work has been exhibited in numerous local art shows and galleries.

Jonetta is a member of the Hunterdon Water Color Society and Artsbridge. She teaches several adult education art courses and provides private lessons for both adults and children.
